We've had a rough weekend. On Saturday Jaela kept throwing up most of what she ate and during the night she had a bloody stool. They took her off all food and started her on a glucose solution by IV. The doctors tested for infections and started taking x-rays of her bowels. Everything was looking ok until about 9 this morning. Her potassium levels were up and the x-rays showed bubbles in the lining of her intestines and it was suspected she had something called pneumatosis which is an abnormal amount of air in the intestines. They took the feeding tube out of her nose and put a tube down her throat to suck the air out of her stomach. Another IV was put in her other hand for medicines. They started her on antibiotics in case it was a bacterial infection even though all the tests pointed more towards a viral infection. They came in twice to take her blood and did another x-ray at 3. Luckily the x-ray showed that her bowels looked better and her potassium levels were normal. She still won't get any food for a while to give her bowels a break and make sure she's over this. 
Oh you guys she is absolutely beautiful! I truly believe what you said in this post, that she is a chosen daughter and was strong enough to come down to earth with some difficulties when most of us weren't. Thank you for keeping us updated. I love this idea as we think of you guys non-stop. Hang in there and don't lose your faith. The Lord has a plan for your beautiful family. We will keep you in our prayers.
